Maqr'ah — Online Quran Recitation Circle

Smart Arabic International Online Institute announces the opening of the online Maqr'ah via Zoom — a structured group recitation programme for non-native Arabic speakers, led by teachers holding Ijaazah.

What Is the Maqr'ah?

The Maqr'ah is a structured online Quran recitation circle conducted via Zoom, designed specifically for non-native Arabic speakers who wish to recite the Quran in a group setting under the guidance of qualified teachers. The word 'Maqr'ah' (مقرأة) refers to a traditional gathering for Quran recitation — a practice rooted in centuries of Islamic scholarship.

All teachers in the Maqr'ah hold Ijaazah — a formal chain of transmission authorising them to teach Quran recitation — and have a good command of English to ensure clear communication with non-native students. Separate rounds are held for men and women.

Two programmes are available: a selected Surahs programme for students who wish to focus on specific chapters of the Quran, and a full Quran recitation programme from Surat Al-Baqarah to Surat An-Nas. Both programmes are offered at a special discounted rate.
